New Updates on Extrememusic.com

Part II: Preserving play history, keyboard shortcuts + more.

New Updates on Extrememusic.com

There’s a lot of new stuff going on in your account preferences. If you prefer our higher resolution waveforms when listening to music in the music player and on various track lists like search results, albums, and playlists, you can now enable them by toggling on the “show hi-res waveforms” option in the Profile Settings > Preferences > Player and Track Lists.

Lost track of what track you were listening to? No need to worry. When you play a track on the site, we indicate that the track has been played by making the track title orange. By default your listening history is remembered, even if you reload the site. If you would prefer your play history to be cleared on reload, you can now disable this by toggling off the “preserve play history” option in Profile Settings > Preferences > Player and Track Lists.

Here’s a couple cool and efficient new keyboard shortcuts. Pressing [D] on your keyboard will now download the currently playing track! Pressing [M] on the keyboard will now instantly mute or unmute the currently playing track. Learn about more of our useful keyboard shortcuts to improve your workflow by navigating to the three vertical dots icon towards the top-right of Extrememusic.com and clicking SHORTCUTS.
